Stellar Scholar Tutoring Services Looking for French Tutor at Edmonton, AB Full Time

Stellar Scholar is a one-person tutoring business looking to hire someone who can tutor in the subjects of Math and Science. Please note, this is a casual position which could require you to work anywhere from 2 to 30 hours per week. You must therefore have a fairly flexible schedule and are required to be available on one weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday).

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required, should be relevant to languages

You must be capable of tutoring clients in French at ALL levels. This includes from ages 3 to 100. Candidates who can also tutor other languages will definitely be considered.

You must live within the city limits and be able to travel a maximum of 30 minutes away from your home for tutoring as per the client’s needs. You must also be willing to offer online lessons.

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months

A willingness to communicate with clients to schedule appointments, send them reminders, and check in with them regularly

A passion for education, tutoring, and helping others succeed

You should also be flexible with your approaches; some clients may want to work on assignments, others may want you to create a lesson plan, and others still may just want to practice out of a workbook or something similar. You should be creative and willing to try new approaches to suit the client.

Looking for someone who is flexible, friendly, and reliable. You need to be a people person.

You must have at least one year of tutoring experience.

Wage per hour is $25-$27/hour depending on level of experience, and is paid bi-weekly.

2 professional references will be required if you are selected for an interview.
