With demonstrated and continued growth, we are currently looking for an Evening Dispatcher to join our Logistics team in Blumenort, Manitoba.
The Role
The primary focus of the Evening Dispatch role is to support our driver team and trouble shoot on-road issues with our customers and drivers after hours. This includes building and communicating dispatch, troubleshoot changes and on-road issues, tracking, and communicating with customers and staff to ensure safe and on-time delivery.
Schedule
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM rotation of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off. This rotation will include weekends and statutory holidays.
Responsibilities include
Support owner operators and company drivers
Ensure drivers are set up for success and have the tools they need for their work
Communicate workload/schedules to drivers including customer requirements
Troubleshoot and problem solve as issues arise ensuring all requirements and regulations are met
Shift handoff communication
Data entry
Requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Proven ability to work independently with accuracy and efficiency
Strong computer skills
Previous experience dispatching or supervising within livestock or agricultural transportation (will be given preference)
