Junior Corporate Accountant
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting
· Prepare and assist with:
o Monthly bank reconciliation in QuickBooks
o Monthly/ quarterly government reporting requirements (PD7A, HST, workers Compensation, EHT, etc.)
o Payroll records
o Cheques and/ or electronic payments as required
o Maintenance of process descriptions and vendor information
o Managing accounts payable and payment processing
o Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
o Create different financial reports through QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
o Set up and maintain filing system (digital and physical)
o KPI tracking, including non-financial KPI information to assist in the preparation of monthly reports and other analysis
o Additional duties may be assigned from time to time
Other Responsibilities
· Comfortable performing general administrative duties, maintaining and organizing documents
· Strong attention to detail
· Handle confidential information
· Self-directed and able to work without supervision on multiple tasks
· Assistance with other ad-hoc analysis, as required
· Minor travel to site may be required
