Position Description
Reporting to the Controller, this position will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing cost expenditures, preparing bids, and analyzing cost saving opportunities within the organization. The cost accountant will review existing purchases, record data, recommend new cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options, and analyse purchasing costs. You will also work across teams to present and translate important financial information and assist in company audits. Month end reporting and be a key member of the standard costs and bill of materials management.
Qualifications
Education
University degree in accounting or finance, with a Canadian CPA, CPA in process, or path to CPA.
