Position: Construction Miner (Timber)

Department: Mine

Sub-department: Underground

Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days off

Location: Renard Mine

Stornoway recrute un(e) Mineur de construction pour la mine souterraine Renard. Le/la mineur de construction effectue différents travaux de construction souterraine dans l’avancement du développement ou d’autres opérations de développement de construction connexe. Il est responsable des activités suivantes :

• Effectuer différents travaux dans la construction tel que : cadrage, construction, soudage et coupage, travaux de bétonnage, application de béton projeté humide (mécanisé), câble d’ancrage et d’autres constructions souterraines;
• Effectuer différents travaux sur des systèmes de pompage;
• Vérifier et entretenir adéquatement les équipements;
• Sécuriser son endroit de travail;
• S’assurer du déroulement efficace et sécuritaire des activités reliées aux tâches;
• Collaborer étroitement avec tous les membres de l’équipe;
• Participer activement aux rencontres de planification, de santé-sécurité et à la formation;
• Compléter adéquatement les rapports journaliers et autres;
• Respecter les lois, les règlements et les procédures de travail;
• Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes.

Qualifications:

• DEP en Extraction du minerai ou expérience pertinente pouvant être considérée comme équivalente;
• Minimum de 2 ans d’expérience en construction dans le domaine minier;
• Formation modulaire du travailleur minier complétée (FMTM 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7), le module 10 est un atout;
• Détenir un permis général d’explosifs valide;
• Posséder un permis de conduire valide;
• Expérience en construction;
• Expérience en application de béton projeté humide;
• Expérience de travaux sur des systèmes de pompage;
• Bonne capacité en oxycoupage et soudage;
• Autonomie et débrouillardise;
• Capacité à communiquer en français ou en anglais;
• Aptitude à travailler en équipe;
• Attitude exemplaire en tout temps en matière de santé et de sécurité;
• Intérêt et aptitude à travailler dans un environnement multiculturel.
