Our recruitment team is currently working with one of the leading metal and steel distributors in Canada. With over 14 locations across North America, our client offers various opportunities for growth and relocation for internal employees. The Montreal branch is currently seeking a Bilingual Administrative and Inventory Assistant.
The Role
The main duties of the Admin and Inventory Assistant include greeting customers and performing general administrative duties including data entry, basic accounting duties, greeting and redirection of guests, and controlling inventory levels.
This position offers a base annual salary of $45,000 to $58,000 depending on years of experience and shift times fully on-site from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. This location offers on-site parking, and the opportunity to work with a stable and reputable organization.
Responsibilities
- Responding to incoming emails, and calls, while providing strong customer service
- Greeting and directing incoming guests
- Data entry, filing, copying
- General administrative responsibilities with some accounting
- Ordering and maintaining office and break room supplies
- Maintaining levels of sheet inventory
- Process work orders to ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Work and support the sales and production team to ensure reports (Mill Test, overstock, devalued products) are available to minimize site discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bilingualism in French and English
- Previous steel or aluminum experience is an asset
- Inventory, customer service, and administrative experience
- Microsoft Office and use of computing systems
- Fast learner, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- A strong multi-tasker with remarkable communication skills both written and oral
