Job Summary

This is a part-time position that reports directly to the Student Groups Manager. This position will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to the department, as well as assisting students at the front desk.

Summary of Responsibilities

Schedule classroom bookings for Groups

Oversee and facilitate deposit forms

Oversee meeting room bookings in the Student Groups area through Acuity

Scan and file relevant Group forms, such as event forms, group waivers, and cheque requisitions

Update Groups on requirements to maintain active status

Data entry and data management of Group’s activities

Ensure accuracy of all Group listings on the website

Help the department plan and execute two social networking activities for Groups

Prepare bi- weekly Student Group newsletters

Post content on Student Group specific social media channels

Prepare surveys

Other duties as assigned by the Student Groups Manager

Required Skills and Qualifications

Must be a current MacEwan student, registered in a minimum of one class during the Fall 2022 term and the Winter 2023 term.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint

Customer service experience is considered an asset

Communication skills

Knowledge of Student Groups on campus

Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Terms of Employment

We are open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 9 pm. This position will have to work late afternoon and evening shifts. Some weekend work may be required.

Must attend all Student Groups Training in September and October.

Must attend Student Groups Expo in Fall and Winter Semester.
