What can you expect as a Front Desk Supervisor? The Front Desk Supervisor provides an outstanding guest experience by overseeing the daily shift operations of the hotel front desk. In this key guest service role, they ensure guests needs and expectations are met by answering their questions and solving problems efficiently. – Provide excellent guest service – You will be responsible for the daily shift operations of the front desk including check ins/outs, taking reservations, answering guest queries and resolving guest concerns/complaints. – Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other departments. – Assist with training team members in resort and reservation systems, cash-outs, hotel information as well as health and safety procedures. – Conduct daily inspections of guest service areas with an eye on cleanliness, ambiance, positive visual impact, service flow and health and safety standards. – Assume a general leadership role throughout the property and act as duty manager when required. – Other duties as assigned including; cross-utilization with the bell desk, night audit, and housekeeping departments as well as in the operation of hotel guest activities. About You: – Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management preferred – Previous front desk supervisory experience – Fluent English proficiency – Passion for providing outstanding guest service – Strong organization, planning, attention to detail and time management skills. – A positive attitude with strong initiative, problem-solving and communication skills. – Previous Microsoft Office Suite and PMS (Maestro) experience. – Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy items. – Provide clean driver’s abstract and license prior to commencement of duties (Abstract cannot be any older than 30 days from start of employment); Must be able to complete training and testing for on-hill tracked vehicle and snowmobile licenses. – Valid First Aid and CPR is an asset.
