We Need: Bookkeeper
ORGANIZATION is a must!
We are seeking a professional, experienced Bookkeeper to work at our Dartmouth office location.
Position Responsibilities:
- Daily reconciliation of various bank accounts
- Entering invoices, payments and other data related to preparing month end financials
- Prepare and process complete and accurate month end journal entries
- Ensure proper recording of all assets
- Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations/working papers
- Prepare and process HST returns
- Prepare various reports used to generate month end entries
- Assist Accounting Administrators with payable and receivable tasks
- Assist with year-end
- Fix asset counts, as required
- Additional tasks, as requested
Skills/Knowledge/Experience required performing the job:
- Post-secondary education in an accounting or business program or equivalent applicable experience
- 2-year minimum previous experience in Bookkeeping
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong computer skills, experience in Quick Books an asset
- Ability to perform arithmetic computations required to calculate, debits and credits and prepare reports
- Must be able to respond to tight deadlines during regular and peak periods and to last minute demands and requirements
- Organized, detailed oriented, ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability and desire to learn
- Possess a high sense of initiative
- Strong judgement and decision-making ability
- Possess problem analysis and solving skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
