Hr Generalist

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Managing extended health care benefits for all payroll employees
  • Managing all aspects of the recruitment process.
  • Managing/Coordinating the orientation/onboarding process to ensure an engaging experience and proper training from the start.
  • Advising managers and directors on human resource policies, programs, and best practices.
  • Managing the Employee Relations and investigation processes to maintain a positive and respectful work environment to ensure consistency and fairness, as well as corrective actions when necessary.
  • Handling conflicts between employees alongside managers.
  • Facilitating Performance Management and annual evaluations, including training and coaching managers to apply fair and efficient processes, ensuring corrective actions are taken and ensuring a successful evaluation process where employees participate in the process.
  • Remaining current with best practices, legislative changes, and industry standards, including research and review of policies and procedures, employment legislation topics, and making recommendations towards positive changes in the organization.
  • Managing and dealing with complex and sensitive issues where independent decision making may occur.
  • Maintain all employee records; keep employee files up to date; track sick days and vacation days.
  • Maintaining employee timecard reporting system; ensure all employees/hours are accounted for
  • Reporting employee hours/changes for payroll
  • Handling discrepancies between pays and hours worked.
  • Assist in completing payroll when needed
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation is preferred;
  • Knowledge of applicable employment legislation;
  • Superior interpersonal skills/communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and demands of the job;
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams);

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $57,821.00-$61,882.00 per year
