T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) seeks an Intern Human Resources Coordinator to support our Americas HR team, based in Canada. Your internship will expose you to a variety of functional tasks and to programs that will support the team with HR delivery across the organization. You will have the opportunity to assist with front-line support to ensure an excellent employee experience and in the deployment of strategic initiatives designed to raise the bar across the HR Centre of Excellence. The nature of the role is dynamic, the team is collaborative and supportive, and the scope of responsibilities will ensure your time with us is challenging and enjoyable in equal measure.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Do
HR Activities (50%)
Support the operations of our onboarding program, including coordinating with new hires, scheduling and coordinating cross-functionally to ensure a seamless transition from candidate to employee experience.
Maintain and update core HR Systems and internal processes for new hires, terminations, and internal changes, including compliance training.
Help coordinate the roll-out of HR initiatives, including the return to office activities, vaccination mandates, training sessions etc.
Support the HR Director with any special (ad hoc) project/tasks.
Assist with benefits administration including new hires, processing terminations and other life-cycle changes for all benefit plans (RRSP, health plans, etc.)
Carry out any other related task related your skills and the smooth running of the organization.
Talent Attraction/Management (50%)
Work with hiring leads to create effective job ads and managing the approvals process through to posting to various external platforms as well as company website.
Manage candidates through the ATS (ICIMS), dispositioning through early stages of review and assessment.
Make recommendations to interview and support team with arrangements to interview.
Book time with candidates and hiring managers to review and explore our open opportunities.
Assist with closing requisitions and input of data to ensure accuracy of reporting.
Support the TA Leads with any special (ad hoc) project/tasks.
