Required Skills:
• Good years of experience as a MS SQL Server DBA
• Experience with MY SQL Server Administration experience required.
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
• Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
• Experience working with Azure.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows OS
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Ability to implement and analyze mapping logic requirements for any situation presented.
• Manage SQL Server databases.
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
• Monitor system’s health and performance
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
• Provide suggestions for solutions.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Flexibility to work in Toronto hours.
• Investments and Public markets Industry knowledge, particularly with Front, Middle and Back Office Operations; Fixed Income.
