GFL Environmental is looking for an Operations Administrator to join our team based out of Debert, NS! The Operations Administrator has accountability for providing administrative support to the Branch Manager, Operations, and Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
· Creates a variety of letters, reports, and spread sheets in an accurate & efficient fashion
· Proof reads and makes recommendations to documents
· Establishes and maintains electronic/hard copy files and records
· Routes mail, publications, faxes and emails
· Compiles reports and other documents for the branch.
· Maintains daily appointment calendar(s), including meetings, report deadlines, travel and lodgings
· Compiles information in preparation of meetings, reports and projects
· Makes independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work for self
· Takes minutes at Monthly Safety Meetings and ensures that follow up items are completed
· Photocopying as required
· Filing as required
· PO creating and updating
· IT Assistance and Helpdesk Liaison for the office
· Aids with collection and compilation of EH&S records, where required.
· Tracks and Schedules all Training, as required.
· Scanning & electronic filing of EHS documentation to facility drive
· Ordering office supplies & other supplies as required
· Ensures proper protocols are followed when receiving visitors (sign in, building orientation, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· Post-secondary education an asset
· Superior customer service (external and internal) skills
· Experience working with Microsoft Office
· Strong interpersonal skills and team player
· Proven ability to multi-task
· Effective time management skills
· Able to work independently
· Accurate data entry skills with an acute attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
· Ability to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision.
