Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer reporting the Manager of Information Technology. The position will be based from our Richmond, British Columbia office; however, a hybrid work style is offered, allowing the candidate to work both virtually and in the office.
The successful candidate should be familiar with automation testing script development using Automation Testing tools like Selenium (or) QTP (Quick Test Professional).
The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with a team to ensure the high coding standards are maintained.
Position Responsibilities
Leads the testing, documentation and maintenance of testing frameworks across platforms in order to meet customer, functional, and/or regulatory requirements, quality objectives, and constraints specific to the applicable domain and available technology.
Provides technical leadership for automation testing, frameworks, test pack development, testing in general. Prioritizes tasks and leads reviews.
Assists project leads with risk management and progress reviews.
Ensures application of best practices. Leads integration/test efforts of software applications and creates overall integration plans.
Leads development, selection, tailoring, and continuous integration and continuous delivery of software. Determines research directions and pursues related opportunities with internal/external organizations.
Leads proposal efforts.
Provides expertise on resolution of regulatory and domain operational and integration issues to internal/external customers.
Supports issue resolution, leads root cause analysis for all software issues, identifies opportunities and implements process improvements.
Defines and helps implement strategies for the software application teams.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in automation testing script development using Automation Testing tools like Selenium (or) QTP (Quick Test Professional) and experience on DevOps, ETL Testing, SQL.
3+ years of experience in creating test automation framework from scratch and configuring Testing, Reporting and logging etc.
2+ years of experience with API testing and creating RESTful API testing Framework.
Experience in database testing.
Hands on Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS etc.
Must legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working in an Agile environment; Working knowledge of Agile principles, methods, and frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
Knowledge on Azure Data lake, SQL Server database Analysis service.
Knowledge on Databricks.
Should have experience in feature branch-based development CI/CD, git, docker, Test suite integration/execution in DevOps pipeline.
Relevant work experience into manual testing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Summery Pay Range: CAD 90,000 – CAD 160,000
Export Control Requirements: Not an export control position
