Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer within the Analytics Solutions portfolio, reporting to the Senior Manager of Software Development working out of the Vancouver, British Columbia office. You will be responsible for delivery of cutting-edge flight data analytics SaaS products to commercial customers. As part of a DevOps team you will be one of the key technical team members taking responsibilities on DevOps deliveries.
In this role, the Senior DevOps Engineer will work with other highly motivated software architects, developers and data scientists. You will also work with portfolio leadership, development teams and stakeholders to establish and drive implementation of technical strategies and roadmaps for the success of each product and initiative.
Position Responsibilities:
Work on code deployment, environment set up using IaC (Terraform) on Google Cloud (GCP).
Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, to enable rapid and reliable software delivery (CloudBuild, Cloud Deploy).
Help to refactor and improve existing architecture, such as go to serverless, introduce new lakehouse and AP solutions, etc.
Operation support – monitor application running status on GCP.
Be able to find system errors/outages at the first time, and help to provide solutions; develop new services to improve system health and performance.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be legally able to work in Canada.
7+ years of experience working in a Linux environment with tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
3+ Years of experience with Bash and Python.
2+ Years of experience on SQL.
Strong understanding of web development tools and architectures.
Experience on centralized logging and monitoring solutions: Sentry, Google monitor and logs, stats.
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience with Terraform, Python CDK for terraform and Ansible.
Proficient with Git and Git workflows.
Experience with code scanning and testing tools: Sonarqube, Coverity
Experience with messaging tools like RabbitMQ
Knowledge on Databricks
Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of IaC (Terraform).
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Summery Pay Range: CAD 85,000 – CAD 152,000
