The Role

Are you looking for a diverse and impactful Accountant role? From ensuring local compliance requirements (including SOX), to strict adherence to quality and attention to detail – we’re looking for a Junior Accountant who knows that numbers have meaning.

Reporting to our Senior Accountant, you will work as part of a small, high-performing team to support our European operations. You are a ‘all rounder’ with a diverse skillset and an outstanding ability to communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders and our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Senior Accountant with the monthly closing process, including reconciliation of prepayments, fixed assets, bank accounts and revaluation of foreign currency assets and liabilities.
• Payroll for UK and Germany operations
• Setting up of clients and job estimates in the accounting system
• Working with the production and sales teams to agree job budgets and raise client invoices
• Follow up on overdue accounts receivable invoices with internal sales as well as with clients directly
• Review of new supplier requests to ensure they meet SOX guidelines
• Quarterly VAT preparation and submission

Our Qualifications And Experience Wishlist

• CPA designation (CMA, CA or CGA) advantageous but not essential
• Post-secondary education in accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
