Under the direction of the Finance Applications Coordinator, the Assistant, General Ledger Applications assists in the maintenance of the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s (VIHA) General Ledger application and provides training to VIHA staff in the use of applications and financial reports. Assists in the accounting period and fiscal year end procedures, maintains the existing General Ledger financial and statistical reports and creates new reports using a variety of reporting tools for both internal and external use. The Assistant also assists with the implementation and testing of new software and system upgrades.
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to successful completion of the fourth level of CMA or CGA program and five years’ recent related experience.
