What’s the role? 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to join us on Canada on a permanent basis. The role can be based home based in Vancouver or office based at our hub in Halifax

This is a highly varied role where you’ll support the Finance Manager in Canada, working on a wide range of Finance and Accounting tasks, such as monthly management accounts, payroll and invoicing.

You’ll prepare monthly analyses, comparing actual spend against budget, forecast and previous reporting, investigating variances.

Additionally, you’ll assist in the ongoing review of current finance activities with a view to automating and improving processes, increase efficiencies and reduce processing time and errors.

What are we looking for?

You’ll be a collaborative and highly skilled Financial Analyst with a solid understanding of a wide range of finance processes including Canadian Payroll. You’ll have strong analytical skills with an ability to consume and manipulate large amounts of information and articulate that back to stakeholders in a clear manner.

Ideally, you’ll have an accountancy qualification, or perhaps you are nearly qualified or have experience in a similar role.

You’ll be self-motivated and organized with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gain buy-in and develop strong working relationships. You’ll be pro-active and take initiative to deliver in an ever-changing environment.

You’ll be great with Excel and have hands-on experience of QuickBooks, experience with MS Dynamics 365 would also be advantageous.
