The Keller Group is pleased to support a growing organization in Ontario, Canada in their search for a high-functioning Senior Accountant. This lead accounting position will play a significant role in ensuring the monthly, quarterly and annual financial information is executed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented and able to function in a high-expectation and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and input journal entries, maintain G/L to financial statements and subledger
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and analysis
- Participate in the financial reporting processes
- Analyze the financial statements for discrepancies
- Provide support to managers, review junior level accountants’ work
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
- Ensure that all deadlines are adhered to and met, researching and making recommendations for streamlining processes
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA preferred (or working towards)
- High level of understanding of control procedures, cash management, general ledger, reconciliations and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, Dynamics 365 a plus
- Ability to work in tight deadlines and prioritize work
Compensation and Benefits
- $90,000+ DOE
