Director of Warehouse Operations
We are looking for an amazing leader to become a key member of the leadership team in a growing retail distributor. As warehouse director you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This is a hands-on role and will suit someone with incredible people skills as well as having operational knowledge and experience to not only manage but improve processes and implement solutions to help with the growth of the company.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a 75,000 sq ft warehouse that receives, picks and ships high volume products to the retail industry across North America.
- Lead a team of supervisors across 3 shifts to ensure motivation and engagement whilst maintaining a positive work environment.
- Responsible for ensuring each department of the warehouse is working with accuracy and efficiency to ensure productivity and accuracy levels are being met consistently.
- Review and implement KPI’s to increase efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, significant reduction in error rates.
- Work in collaboration with other departments of the organization to ensure the smooth running of operations (supply, manufacturing, logistics, customers)
- Ensure effective operational management while ensuring the optimization of the supply chain.
- Develop and implement strategies and actions to improve employee engagement, in particular involving hourly employees in all processes that concern them.
Requirements
- University or college diploma in a relevant field (business administration or engineering an asset)
- Minimum 10 years experience in Distribution (in retail or similar business) with minimum 5 years management or supervisory experience
- Lean Six Sigma Certification an asset
- Experience of high-volume ever-changing product
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiating, conflict management and information gathering skills, with ability to prioritize project tasks, meet needs of clients/projects and build rapport and credibility
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with effective presentation skills

Salary: $130,022.36-$142,185.84 per year
