Accounts Payable Representative

What will you do?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, performs basic to moderately complex accounting tasks associated with the preparation and maintenance of Accounts Payable and other financial matters.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently throughout the month using an accounting ERP system
• Must verify all invoices for proper approval and valid GL numbers
• Research and resolve supplier disputes and issues. Resolution to include root cause analysis and proactive steps to mitigate future problems.
• Follow all internal control procedures to ensure accurate financial records, particularly in relation to the Corporate Approved Authority Matrix.
• Process payments according to payment terms to ensure the smooth operation of the business while improving cash flow.
• Other duties as assigned.

How will you get there?

Requirements

Education:

• College diploma in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience

Experience:

• Experienced with Navision 5.0
• Minimum of 2 years of specific accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional and customer focused with attention to detail.
• Must be detail-oriented as well as exhibit strong organizational skills.
• Need to be able to process large volumes of information efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a corporate setting is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills in Excel, and MS Word.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with individuals and teams from different areas
