SENIOR DIRECTOR, MODELING & SIMULATION – EVIDERA
*We are looking to fill this role in Canada or Europe (Fully remote)
Evidera’s Modeling and Simulation team is one of the largest and most experienced in-house team of modelers. Evidera has designed, developed, and implemented hundreds of health economic and other models in all major therapeutic indications and for all major markets. Team leader responsible for the management, development and growth of the modelling and simulation team in the UK
Independent principal investigator of projects responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery.
Innovates scientifically and produces output of high scientific quality.
Assumes significant responsibility for sales targets and client development.
Reporting into Executive Director of Modeling and Simulation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Managerial responsibilities for UK Modeling and Simulation team including hiring, professional development, performance and attrition (20 staff)
Responsible for personal and team financial targets including utilization and sales
Works with senior management and other peers for strategy development and execution planning
Communicates goal results and key performance indicators to direct reports
Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
Helps develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Brings in proposal leads, manages proposal writing process and closes sales
Scientifically responsible person for design and implementation of selected studies or models; conceptualize advanced model design and advanced study protocols.
Lead interactions with clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Review and finalize project deliverables and ensure study findings are valid and reliable.
As principal investigator, have final budget, deliverable and project timeline responsibility; identify scope expansion and need for amendments; serve as consultant to other principal investigators or staff on other projects.
Direct other “non-billable” activities (e.g. design conceptual approaches for proposals, identify and pursue business opportunities within Evidera and bring in new projects).
Some domestic or international travel may be expected
Develops and maintains client relationships
Education, Professional Skills & Experience:
PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Biostatistics or related field with at least 7 to 10 years of directly relevant work experience in similar industry or consulting environment.
Broad experience in health economics and an expert in economic modeling
Proven record in business development
Deep understanding of research principles and familiarity with key aspects of the literature (historical and current)
Advanced level understanding of relevant methodology and statistics
Extensive knowledge of practical research implementation
Proven experience in managerial position
Excellent communication skills including presentations
