Top Prospect Careers is a young, small, but rapidly growing career services company, operating as a fully remote business to assist individuals of varied professional backgrounds as they elevate or transition into more prominent professional careers.

We are searching for an experienced resume writer and job search specialist, or a passionate person who is self-directed and willing to learn. As a member of our team, you will write resumes and cover letters, LinkedIn profile optimizations, and create other career-related documentation for clients across North America. Additionally, you will support the creation of job application related materials.

Our goal is to offer flexible remote work opportunities for a writer that is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality results.

This position is for a part-time contractor who is able to maintain a swift turnaround on writing projects. Compensation is provided per project completed with an hourly rate for some responsibilities.

AS A RESUME WRITER, YOU WILL:

Write resumes using the client’s existing resume and other information to create documents that will secure interviews. The writer will follow Top Prospect Career’s guidelines.

Review specific job postings and craft resumes and cover letters that match the requirements, responsibilities, and qualifications of the role.

Have access to a variety of resources to aid in your success (e.g., resume/cover letter templates, video tutorials, writers’ guides, and support from Brad and Dan at Top Prospect Careers).

Have opportunities for growth and to additional responsibilities spanning interview, career, and job search coaching, and to gain practical experience as a career coach.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in areas of written/verbal communication, time management, and computer literacy.

• 1+ years of experience in resume writing or 3+ years of cumulative experience in writing, Human Resources (hiring), career consulting, or talent recruiting.

• Knowledge of current resume formats and writing best practices for developing quality resumes based on each client’s industry/career field.

• The ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and accountability.

• A strong understanding of British, Canadian, and American English.

Compensation:

• Based on qualifications and experience

• We pay above industry standard
