We are currently hiring for the position of:


PEOPLE & CULTURE, COORDINATOR (FESTIVAL)
Reporting to the Senior Manager, People & Culture. Assisting our People & Culture team with full cycle recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, as well as other administrative duties related to our annual festival.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain careers email account, calendar and critical path, and dashboard.

  • Provide operational support to department programs and management as required (e.g., Onboarding, Offboarding, Meetings, Events)

  • Administrator for HR/software systems (HRIS), ensuring the integrity of systems through ongoing maintenance and regular data audits.

  • Provide support for training logistics- registering staff participants, booking rooms, etc.

  • Support the delivery of department Festival goals, including but not limited to onboarding and offboarding.

  • Assist our P&C Coordinator in ensuring staff pass printing and acting as one of the department points of contact.

  • Primary point of contact for employee digital and physical files

  • Engages in continuous improvement/projects to optimise work processes and programs.

  • Keep abreast of HR best practices and legislative requirements.

  • Maintain our record retention system and create and maintain digital employee files.

  • Posting Jobs on various job sites (e.g., LinkedIn, indeed, TIFF Career Portal, Pink Jobs, CEE Jobs, Miziwe Biik)

  • Coordinate recruitment (booking phone screens, scheduling interviews, preparing interview material)
  • Conducting interviews & Phone screens and reference checks

  • Help Facilitate job fairs & Festival Orientation

  • Draft contract and offer letters.

  • Assisting the Talent Acquisition and HR Generalist with tasks as needed


RATE OF PAY:
  • $20.00/Hourly

TARGET
CONTRACT DATES:
  • April 3, 2023- September 29, 2023

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Some experience in Human Resources and full cycle recruitment, which may include coop, internship, seasonal or part time contracts

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and customer focus, to service staff and provide an excellent employee experience.

  • Resourceful and able to work well independently and in a small team environment.
  • Judgement is required to identify and escalate sensitive/difficult situations.
  • Basic knowledge of HR best practices and provincial legislation in order to provide sound HR support.
  • Superior administrative skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Recruitment coordination skills
  • Ability to stay organised and meet deadlines in a face-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • High computer proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Office, or other databases is an asset.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now an asset
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
