Position Overview Our construction client located in Langley, BC, is actively seeking a dedicated and motivated Development Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. As the Development Manager, your primary responsibility will involve overseeing projects during the design and permitting phases, ensuring their successful progression.

As the Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of project management and coordination. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Collaborating with diverse stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Managing client interactions from preconstruction agreements through project turnover to the construction department.
- Compiling Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for all required consultants.
- Overseeing interactions with consultants and executing the client’s design requirements.
- Scrutinizing plans and specifications in the preconstruction phase to identify constructability issues.
- Reviewing all project documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Creating and maintaining preconstruction project schedules.
- Leading value engineering exercises, culminating in the building permit stage.
- Managing client billings and cost procedures during the preconstruction phase.
- Conducting internal, consultant, client, and municipal meetings.
- Coordinating all submissions to municipal and senior agencies, followed by establishing connections with municipal contacts to secure permits within specified timelines as outlined in preconstruction agreements.

Ideal Candidate Experience
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, along with prior construction experience and a solid understanding of municipal processes.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending design drawings.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Timberline, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills that enable effective stakeholder management.
- Well-organized with a keen ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
