Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Senior Technical Analyst / OpenText SME to join our talented Service Delivery team at Ministry of Children’s Services (Government of Alberta) to support a digital transformation project (paper processes modernization to digital processes) – the integration of OpenText Content Server with Kofax TotalAgility.
This requisition is to backfill for a Tri-global contractor who is moving to another business unit within the Ministry next month.
The successful contractor(s) have an anticipated May 15, 2023 start date for a 3.5-month contract (ending August 31, 2023) with possibility of extension.
NOTES ON LOCATION: The successful candidate will work remotely. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Child Intervention (CI) Division provides oversight in practice, supports and services for an integrated, evidence-informed and culturally-sensitive approach in serving the children, youth and families of Alberta. The Division also oversees early childhood development, early learning, early intervention, child care and child and family interventions.
It is the role of the Child Intervention Business Support (CIBS) unit to maintain and enhance CICIO, and OpenText research, implement maintain and enhance related tech tools, and support CICIO and OpenText stakeholders to use the system more proficiently. As consumers of IT and IM support services, the Child Intervention Business Support (CIBS) unit has a unique and critical role in translating program needs, language and processes for IT and IM teams and translating IT and IM needs, language, and processes for Child Intervention staff across the Ministry.
This position is responsible for the design and implementation of changes and enhancements to CICIO and especially the new, integrated OpenText system as well as all related systems and tools. Providing leadership within the team, this person will act as an OpenText expert, collaborating with all stakeholders from front line staff to senior management to advise on current or changed functionality, consult on recommended changes to the system and plan for the implementation of such changes. Ongoing consultation with internal and external senior management and frontline staff to ensure appropriate technical supports are identified, planned, provided and supported to enhance program delivery in accordance with policy, practice, legislation, corporate business plans, program and service delivery objectives and outcomes.
ADDITIONALLY, the most recent project that has been assigned to this resource relates to the Ministry of Children’s Services project to shift from paper processes to digital processes. The project is leveraging Kofax Total Agility (KTA) to digitize paper records that received by the government and push them into a digital repository in OpenText Content Server.
The project is well underway with defined requirements, and a working proof of concept. The remainder of the project will focus on configuration of the tools to better suit the requirements and business needs and rolling out the tools to a larger user base across the province.
The resource will be involved in the configuration of KTA in preparation for provincial roll out and implementing new functionality as needed. The resource will function as part of the Government of Alberta team that is managing and maintaining the KTA tool.
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
MANDATORY SKILLS
– Knowledge and skill in the OpenText Content Server software suite (1+ year)
– Experience in problem identification and facilitating group problem solving (using process mapping, gap analysis, requirements gathering, etc.) to lead groups to clear decisions (3+ years)
– Experience in the design, development and implementation of complex IT solutions (3+ years)
– Experience in facilitating meetings and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders (3+ years)
– Experience in the development of project documents for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.) (3+ years)
DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
– Knowledge of and experience with the software development lifecycle (2+ years)
– Experience working in or for the public sector (1+ years)
– Experience working in or for a social services related field (1+ years)
– Experience with a wide variety of OpenText modules (e.g., Extended ECM, Smart UI, Perspectives, Active, Webform) (1+ years)
– Experience in projects that had scanning as a component (1+ years)
– Experience with development and implementation of content management, document management, records management, information management processes in applications (1+ years)
– Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment (1+ years)
– Business Analyst background/education (e.g. CBAP, IIBA) will be considered an asset (1+ years)
