Tricycle Lane Group of Companies Looking for Accounts Payable Clerk (4 day work week) at Calgary, Alberta, Canada Full Time

Tricycle Lane Ranches Ltd (TLR) has a tremendous in person opportunity for a 32 hour per week Accounts Payable Clerk to be based out of our new corporate offices near the airport in NE Calgary, Alberta. TLR is the 25-year-old Property Management and Land Acquisition business for its sister company BURNCO Rock Products Ltd (BURNCO), a 111-year-old construction materials business.

Reporting directly to our Operational Accountant and Controller, the ideal Accounts Payable Clerk will be self-motivated and proactive, as well as having excellent problem-solving skills. You must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment and work with multiple companies. Good communication skills (both verbal and written) will allow you to develop strong working relationships inside the team as well as externally. You have a keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data, always mindful to deliver on the deadlines and time constraints you face. You are a professional who works well independently and as part of a team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Accurate data entry and payment application of vendor invoices in SAGE 50
• Preparation of fund request sheet for approval of payment
• Coordinate payments runs via cheque generation or EFT set up on the banking platform
• Issuance and tracking of purchase orders
• Maintain vendor accounts and follow up with discrepancies
• Accurate e-filing of documents to maintain an organized office

Requirements

What We Would Like You To Bring

• Certification related to accounting or business
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization
• Experience with Sage 50 is preferred
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
