SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director Payroll, the HR/Payroll Administrative assistant will be assisting the HR team in HR data entry and payroll related duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains all employee and contractor data transactions including hiring, terminations, transfers, status changes and related items.
• Manages driver expirations including driver’s licenses, abstracts, and other renewal documents, related to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and other relevant safety authorities.
• Responsible for a range administrative task such as responding to employment verifications personnel announcements and creating employment letters for current employees.
• Assisting with the smooth operation of the entire payroll process and supporting payroll daily tasks
• Compiling payroll data, such as hours worked, time sheets and other records.
• Calculate special payments for hourly employees
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Strong communication skills
• Must have strong ability to focus on details, demonstrate accuracy and maintain high level of confidentiality.
• Strong time management skills for multi-tasking

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma required.
• Post-Secondary education will be an advantage
