Senior Structural Engineer – P. Eng.

TWD is currently seeking an Senior Structural Engineer – P. Eng. at our head office in Burlington, Ontario! The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-directed, and possess a passion for engineering design.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide project support through conceptual design, detailed design, construction and completion
Determine project costs by calculating labour, material, and related costs
Design of civil/structural systems associated with pump stations, tanks, piping, and other industrial equipment
Participate in constructability reviews and construction inspections
Client communication, management and business development
Engineer and analyze foundations for buildings and other structures
Attend meetings, and internal and client model reviews
Monitor the progress of projects and ensure all project deadlines are met
Interface and coordinate with other engineer disciplines
Ensure all project deliverables are compliant with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications
Review drawings and provide input according to civil/structural design requirements
Prepare calculations, specifications and drawings (both layout and detail drawings)
Project scoping at client sites
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) must
A minimum of 10 years of applicable experience in the oil and gas industry
Must have AutoCAD/3D Modeling/design skills and can produce basic design drawings
Proficiency with engineering and calculation software such as RISA 3D, RISA FND, TEDDS and others
Must have experience in water management, grading & water control, and foundation designs
Must be able to write Engineering technical specs for Geotechnical investigation, surveying, concrete work and steel work
Effective communication skills, and have the ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Able to comprehend and work within project scopes
