As Ultimate Renovations’ Residential Construction Project Estimator, you will play an integral role in our ability to win projects and secure profits by accurately pricing luxury renovations. You will take your career to the next level by building strong relationships with vendors and improving on process to make our clients dreams a reality. Capitalizing on your analytical skills, you will thrive in an environment that has produced award winning designs for over four decades.
As a Residential Construction Project Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Generating project estimates and formal budgets for renovations, and, from time to time, custom home builds.
- Providing assistance for writing project specifications, processing change orders, and analyzing job cost data to ensure all billable items are in line with budgeted values.
- Working with our trade partners and suppliers to secure top-quality products at the best possible prices.
- Keeping our estimating program and templates up to date with the latest costs, changes, and trends.
On your resume we will be looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in roles with ongoing, high priority tasks
- Analytical abilities; turning data and reports into insightful recommendations and solutions to business problems
- Previous industry experience in residential home construction, renovation specific experience would be considered an asset
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and working knowledge of Sage and/or alternative estimating software’s would be considered an asset
- Post secondary education in a relevant discipline
