Mission Statement United Scholastic Academy (USA) is a private, non-denominational, independent Private High School, inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. United Scholastic Academy provides students with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum with high expectations and within an enriched and caring environment. United Scholastic Academy has opened 4 Ministry Inspected school sites starting September 7, 2021.

It will be operating as a private school, with a maximum 1 to 15 is the teacher to student ratio, providing a curriculum aligned with Ontario Ministry expectations and requirements to be eligible to play at the NCAA level as student athletes. The school is designed with intentionality to support holistic learning with an emphasis on training and development of elite athletes who can explore multiple careers as part of their academic and athletic trajectories upon graduating from the high school. We are currently looking to hire 1 secondary school educator to teach the Ministry approved subjects.
Teaching schedule includes in-person teaching 3 split classes per day, Monday to Friday from 8:50 AM to 2:50 PM (includes a one hour lunch and a 75 minute prep/break). Teacher to student ratio will be 1:15 and the schedule includes teaching one grade 11/12 split classes and two Grade 9/10 split classes. Length of teaching contract is from May 20, 2022 to June 30, 2022. Salary is between $4,200 to $4,800 ($700-$800 per week, 25 hours per week ).
One part-time teacher specializing in high school English as a teachable who will be teaching, grades 9 & 10 English, grade 11 Philosophy and 12 Social Justice, grade 9/10 Business. Each class has 15 students maximum. Course outlines and lessons and assessment & evaluation will be provided.

Teachers will be working in collaboration with certified basketball coaches and trainers who will support student athletes before and after school. Each Student is provided with a laptop and textbooks by the school.
Preferred Experience, Education, and Qualifications: – Ontario Certified Teacher – Specializing in subject outlined for the position as per the schedule shared – Preferred sports background having played, coached, and/or officiated would be beneficial but not required.
