UHN Data & Analytics supports UHN in data-driven decisions, data literacy, performance improvement, data governance, data infrastructure/tools, advanced analytics, and automation. The Performance Improvement & Excellence (PIE) team works under the direction of the Chief Data & Analytics Officer and in tight partnership with clinical & administrative leadership, to lead and manage performance improvement and transformation initiatives, using data, to accomplish measurable outcomes.
Position Summary: As a member of the Project Team, the Project Manager is responsible for managing specific project activities such as: requirements gathering, gap definition, workflow and process redesign, assisting with RFI/RFP development and evaluation, coordinating system design, build and testing and implementation within larger, more complex projects as assigned. Will be responsible for leading complex projects of medium to large scope. Assists in the management and monitoring of project plans, schedules, status reports and budgets as required. Handles project planning and implementation problems in an expedient and efficient manner requiring individual judgment and latitude for independent action to solve problems, within generally defined policies and procedures. Performs assignments and special projects in support of departmental objectives, often functioning across disciplines and areas of expertise.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Lead you will play a critical role in implementing value initiatives that highlight UHN’s data assets as a competitive advantage, improve the delivery of care and business functions, and improve operational efficiencies.
Leading multiple projects of large scope/complexity from initiation to close-out, including effective planning, requirements gathering, workflow mapping, schedule, budget, and issue tracking, risk mitigation, and resource utilization
Being exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, adaptive, and client-focused
Integrating emerging trends and incorporating subject matter expertise to creatively deliver impactful and innovative solutions
An innate ability to recognize problems, proactively research the best option, and utilize individual judgment and action to resolve them efficiently
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide change through comprehensive strategic planning, engagement and communications
Possessing exceptional facilitation and communication skills and a strong emotional intelligence to connect with stakeholders, build consensus, gain buy-in, and build relationships
Knowledge and experience applying Change Management principles and methodology: Kotter, ADKAR & other industry leaders
Strong customer relations and support service skills; proven Stakeholder management experience including negotiating, influencing and consensus building
Possessing knowledge of data attributes, governance, quality, maintenance, and visualization best practices
Committed to continually seeking opportunities to advance UHN’s analytics adoption maturity
Integrates strategies into operations by supporting the development of centralized processes and standards, and ensuring sustainability and continuous improvement
The ability to conceptualize processes, practices, and trends to support organizational strategy
Facilitating a collaborative environment with executive leadership, program team(s), external vendors/contractors, and functional/business/technical stakeholders
Possessing excellent team-building, listening, coaching, and mentorship skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
An Undergraduate Degree in Health Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of comprehensive experience leading projects (planning, implementation, documentation, and benefits realization)
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare environment supporting organizational change-related initiatives (people, culture, behaviour, process, and technology)
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint)
Experience working on multiple projects from initiation to close-out, including scoping, planning, implementation, issue/risk management and benefits realization
Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression principles and practices
Demonstrated well-formed organizational, time management, communication, decision making and facilitation skills
Flexibility working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to systematically analyze situations/issues, identify options, draw logical conclusions and determine/recommend practical courses of action
Able to work with minimal supervision on complex tasks
Able to work with multidisciplinary teams in a positive and productive manner
Able to effectively deal with high priority unscheduled tasks and problems
Experience developing presentations and presenting to various stakeholder groups including senior management
Experience in business writing skills and documentation
Knowledge and experience of the data & analytics and PMI project management lifecycles
Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Master’s degree in a relevant field
Project Management certification
Knowledge of trends, strategic frameworks, and advances in data and analytics capabilities
