The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) pursues detailed knowledge of the natural world, effective management of natural resources, novel technologies and medical techniques. The department of Biological Sciences is comprised of faculty who are innovative researchers and engaging teachers that make important contributions to society. Your opportunity:
Working under general direction of the Financial Officer, the Financial and Grants Officer is responsible for the evaluation and forecast of spending of funds, following rules, guidelines and procedures of granting agencies and of the University; coordination and preparation of financial reports for principal investigators. You will be an essential resource to the faculty in the maintenance of funding accounts for grants and contracts; the forecasting, planning and monitoring of budget accounts; and the generation of reports and resolution of data anomalies and discrepancies.

USW Pay Band 11 – $67,659 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $86,523. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
