As a member of the People leadership team and reporting to the Executive Director of Safety Health & Wellness, the Director, People Wellness plays an integral role within the organization in establishing alignment of People team services with VCH strategic and operational objectives. The Director is accountable to oversee the strategic planning and operational requirements for the People Wellness portfolio, which includes Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), Mental and Physical Health & Wellness initiatives and the Psychological Health & Safety program across Vancouver Coastal Health. The portfolio will focus on advancing related VCH strategic objectives and maximizing compliance with all applicable legislation and accreditation standards including implementation of the National Standard of Canada on Psychological Health and Safety in the workplace.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
