Venture Steel Inc. Looking for HR Assistant at Etobicoke, ON Full Time

We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This role will report to the Director, Human Resources, providing support on a variety of HR initiatives in a union and non-union manufacturing setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
• Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
• Assist in the administration of the onboarding process by new employee set up coordination and onboarding training.
• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee files and records.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A recent graduate from Human Resources Management program or 1-2 year of equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional oral, written and interactive communication skills.
• High level of energy for a fast-paced working environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:
