Aquatic Informatics (AQI) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing to build and execute a marketing strategy to accelerate the growth of AQI and the digital transformation of the Water Industry. With recent innovations in AI, databases, automation, and analytics, the future of AQI has never been brighter. You will be a key leader to help maximize the opportunity in front of us to grow AQI and to directly impact the world’s water management, ensuring efficient and sustainable solutions that impact the environment and our daily lives.
About the role
The Marketing Director will be responsible for (1) developing and shaping strategies to position AQI for sustainable long-term growth, and (2) working closely with Product management, sales teams, and our Digital Growth Team to achieve growth and share gain in AQI markets. Growth and share gain objectives will include increasing the value we provide to existing accounts and acquiring noncustomer accounts, as well as leading brand and external and internal communication strategies, tactical plans and programs. (3) Leading a team of energetic and capable marketing-professionals to do drive winning results and high levels of engagement. As Marketing Director, you will report directly to the Vice President. We will provide the training for you to be successful in this position and also to follow your passions to continue to grow into more senior leadership opportunities in the future. We will rely on you to drive revenue growth through strategic promotions and effective marketing campaigns. This includes establishing a market pulse to influence the product roadmap, driving competitive differentiation strategy, and isolating key growth levers for AQI’s next chapter. Develop and implement a comprehensive Marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform the marketing strategy and make data-driven decisions.
Establish a continuous market voice through a strong operating rhythm of customer, market, and competitor analysis points.
Conduct fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor and customer data, and utilize the data to drive short- and long-term tactics and strategy.
Marketing Ops :
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the company’s marketing efforts are aligned with sales, customer success and product development initiatives.
Manage the marketing budget and ensure that all activities are cost-effective and meet ROI targets.
Own marketing campaign performance analytics to continue to improve campaign effectiveness.
What you’ll need:
5+ years’ experience working in Marketing or Sales in a B2B/B2G SaaS environment required
3+ years’ experience leading teams, ideally with experience building high functioning teams required
Proven track record of cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and problem solving required
Demonstrated experience scaling demand generation programs with evidence of increasing revenue impact required
Proven experience with strategic marketing areas such as market definition and market problems, M&A targets, competitive intelligence, and branding strategy required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required. Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and marketing automation platforms a plus
Strong English writing and presentation ability
The salary for this role is $150,000-$170,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
