The Commercial Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the entire Commercial Organization by improving our infrastructure on quoting tools and commercial processes for both the Sales and Service teams so we can serve our customers more efficiently and effectively.
This position is perfect for a highly organized, technically proficient, individual who has intellectual curiosity and a drive for constant improvement. This position fosters creativity and an opportunity to “Leave your Mark” as the work of this role moves the Commercial Organization forward.
Accountabilities
Develop robust, scalable, and flexible solutions in both the Organization’s Quoting Tools and Commercial Processes
Work as the functional expert in Commercial Quoting Tools (Size/Price/Quote) and commercial Processes
Perform design, roadmaps, testing and training in support of current and future projects to meet the Commercial Team’s overall business requirements for Quoting Tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to score and prioritize ideas and business support requests relating to Quoting Tools
Contribute to process optimization within the commercial organization by driving continuous improvement through process standardization, lean methodologies, and data analysis, etc.
Work directly with key Sales and Service leaders on critical strategic, organizational, and operational processes to increase bookings, support, productivity, and operational efficiency of the Commercial Team.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Strong analytical skills coupled with a questioning & creative approach to problem-solving
A forward thinker who takes the initiative to identify gaps and makes recommendations.
Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects including process mapping and process re-design
Ability to work cross-functionally to implement process or quoting tool enhancements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to quickly develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders and business professionals at all levels
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Strong understanding of Commercial Organizations based on working in either Sales, Service, etc
Previous Project leadership experience
