We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON
The VGCA Accounting Shared Services Centre provides essential back-office accounting functions for General Ledger, Inventory, Accounts Receivable and Affiliates, Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets for multiple VW Group Companies including Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Chattanooga factory production, electric vehicle infrastructure and automotive software and technology in Canada as well as in the United States.
ADMT LLC (short for Autonomous Driving for Mobility & Transport) is a wholly owned subsidiary of VWGoA, established in order to support the rollout of its autonomous driving vehicle program.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the overall integrity and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for ADMT LLC, as well as additional financial reporting and disclosures as required by the parent company, VW AG. The Senior Accountant supports the integrity of relevant internal controls by certifying all GL activities are prepared, processed, edited and posted based on proper documentation, timely and efficiently. The role manages the month-end close process for ADMT to ensure the accurate and timely posting of general ledger entries and the proper IFRS accounting treatment of all transactions. This individual works closely with ADMT LLC’s Controlling group to align reporting objectives and assist with streamlining local processes. This role is also required to work closely and align with the other Senior Accountants (responsible for different entities) and manage related external or internal audit requirements.
Due to the startup nature of this company, you will work to define and establish processes and controls for new business areas to ensure integrity and accuracy of the financial data. Support with other accounting functions will also be required during this phase.
