This opportunity is for a Technical minded person who thrives in an environment of continuous self-learning along with imparting that knowledge to others. This role will be responsible for delivering technical training programs to both internal and external customers. They will be responsible for training technicians, customers, and sub-dealers. The training this role provides covers detailed aspects on distributed products and services offered throughout Wajax’s national branch network.
The Role
The Candidate
We are looking for a passionate trainer who takes pride in their ability to transfer knowledge and develop others. Someone who is proactive in keeping up to date on their specific product line responsibilities and is open to collaboration with the team and looks for areas of continuous improvements.
Education: A technical diploma or equivalent industry experience; University Degree is considered an asset however not required.
Work Experience: 3-5 years as a trainer, 7+ years experience in the technical field
Knowledge: Strong knowledge and experience with dealers (such as Hyster, Hitachi); experience as a mechanic; good knowledge of different technical systems; mechanical aptitude; good knowledge and comprehension of different technical systems (electrical systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, hydraulics); experience as a truck or Heavy Equipment technician; competent with Microsoft Office;
Travel: This role requires frequent travel to Wajax or customer sites to perform training sessions. The successfully candidate must be willing to travel regularly and able to travel out of country for manufacturer certification requirements and learning events.
