Job Overview
Working under moderate supervision, this job supports Wawanesa’s success by ensuring systems availability and accessibility for business applications.
Job Responsibilities
Manages and deploys software and operating system level updates using Microsoft Endpoint Management ((Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and Intune)) or manually.
Provides preventive maintenance by following established change management and release management processes including planning maintenance schedules.
Maintains required compliance reports and scheduled delivery.
Able to develop various scripts to automate process by using a standard scripting language.
Participates in ensuring that customer requests via ticketing systems are managed to closure.
Supports information technology, systems and policies for tools and automation in support of business needs. Provides level 3 support as needed.
Able to establish patch deployment policies, deploy jobs, monitor, and resolve issues as required in an efficient and streamlined process.
Manage endpoint performance baseline monitoring to ensure changes to operational environment do not create adverse impact to end users
Prepare for and participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review requirements and partner on developing solutions.
Ability to work with Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM) and PC Management capacity.
Creates and maintains documentation to share information and ensure repeatability.
Protects client data and privacy of information.
Provides suggestions for operational improvements and customer service.
Contributes to the planning of application and infrastructure vitality.
Participates in on-call support rotation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years related IT experience or post-secondary education.
Strong knowledge and experience administering SCCM/MECM/Intune in the current version.
Direct experience with:
developing, maintaining, and deploying workstation and server images using SCCM/MECM tool set.
batch and PowerShell scripting in an enterprise production environment.
development and troubleshooting in PXE environment.support and administration of Microsoft Windows infrastructures and Active Directory.
supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications in physical, virtualized, and cloud-based environments (Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktops).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, BitLocker, Windows Firewall, Windows Autopilot, Windows 365 cloud PCs, Azure Virtual Desktops.
Good communication skills with the ability to clarify and ask probing questions to ensure understanding.
A good team player with the ability to demonstrate motivation and enthusiasm while executing to team goals and sharing information.
Strong customer focus and ability to manage client expectations in a high-volume environment.
Good attention to detail with the ability to identify and address the specifics of service requests.
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify obvious issues and perform initial analysis for problem resolution.
Extensive knowledge of IT functions, technologies, and services and their relationship with compliance requirements.
Knowledge of insurance industry is considered an asset.
Related IT certifications or ITIL certification are considered an asset.
