WEISHAUPT DESIGN GROUP is a North American-based furniture retailer, manufacturer, and distributor engaged in both residential and contract markets, offering classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality.

We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist responsible for supporting all Human Resources activities and initiatives across Weishaupt Design Group. This candidate will report to the Director, Talent & Culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support leadership team and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
• Compensation & Benefits – Employee enrollments and de-enrollments, support and participate in benefits reviews, and support and participate in benchmark research reviews.
• Manage Canada and USA payroll processing.
• Training and Development – Source external training opportunities and speakers as required as well as managing internal training programs for every role. Identify gaps in knowledge and strategize correction and support.
• Training internal staff in new roles by understanding role needs and getting them the right information for success.
• Corporate Communication – drives internal communication strategy through vehicles such as HR update emails
• Support for employee terminations (includes participating in conversations, paperwork and post-termination legal work), administrative support for performance plans, progressive discipline, promotions etc.
• Additional responsibilities as requested or required

Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Human Resources Generalist role
• Payroll experience preferred
• A passion for providing exceptional service
• A creative, resourceful, energetic, and positive approach
• Details driven individual that can deliver results under highest expectations on time and quality
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic team environment
• An approachable demeanor and a natural leader; someone that people naturally gravitate towards
• Present well and communicate clearly and effectively to upper management and internal departments
• Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate
• Flexibility to think outside the box and can adjust course when appropriate new ideas or objections are raised
• Excellent computer skills in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
• CHRP or other HR designation an asset
