This position is responsible for dispatching ,monitoring time sensitive dedicated routes and performing shipping and receiving functions and other duties assigned by supervisor on the Leduc Cross Dock from 7am to 3:30pm.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Sorting and counting the freights, loading and unloading trucks
- Repetitious lifting, turning and bending require
- Able to work in a safely manner.
- Receive and answer emergency and non-emergency calls
- Proactively address problems and suggest solutions
- Receive and dispatch orders
- Assess situation and prioritize calls
- Oversee the route of field units and track delivery status of products
- Coordinate schedule in the most effective manner
- Any other duties that may be assigned
Education (Theoretical Training)
Secondary School Graduation Diploma preferred
Experience & Requirements
- 1 – 2 years in Transportation industry in dispatch or supervisory role
- Ability to work alone and make decisions
- Organized and detailed
- Computer literate
- Ability to lift up to 23kg when assisting in the unloading of the trailers
