Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical tasks, data entry, reception duties and supportive functions for clients, staff and the department in an efficient and effective manner.
Qualifications
Required:
- Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in Customer Service and ability to adapt to stressful situations in a high-pace environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience communicating with the public
- Detail oriented, self-starter, ability to work well independently and in a multi-disciplinary team
- Works with high level of confidentiality
- Must hold a satisfactory employment record
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
Will Be Assessed During The Testing Process
- Data entry speed and accuracy of 10,000 keystrokes per hour (40wpm), with less than 1% error rate
Preferred
- Graduate of Medical Office Assistant course
- Completion of recognized medical terminology course or equivalent
- Experience with electronic patient records (EMR)
Asset
- Experience with database management
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, including interaction with patients and the public
- Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs
- Ability to speak French
