Project Description:
This project will focus on a program of work to provide foundational technology, infrastructure, and equipment to enable virtual health care delivery service.
In the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the requirement and necessity of virtual health solutions rapidly developed. This meant converting in-person health care encounters to care delivery using virtual methods.
The eHealth Virtual Health
Technologies project team responded dynamically to the needs and set up solutions and onboarded groups to virtual platforms. This current phase of the program of work is to enable virtual health in the health authority, enable new technologies for virtual methods and deployment processes, and support the rapid implementation of new virtual health initiatives with the provider and patientexperience of ‘virtual first’ method of delivery at the forefront
Services Required:
The Project Manager will be responsible to:
- Work with project resources to collect requirements, define scope, verify and control scope.
- Work with stakeholder groups to review, identify, clarify and prioritize business and technical requirements
- Provide scoping of proposed solutions
- Define project goals and responsibilities including creation of a responsibility assignment matrix.
- Define activities, sequence activities, estimation of resources and activity duration.
- Develop and control schedule
- Identify stakeholders, plan, execute and distribute communications and other related project requirements
- Report on performance, budget, schedule, meeting minutes, decisions, outcomes, risks and any other reporting requirements
- Manage budget
- Provide mentorship to the team
- Serve as a liaison between the technology teams and business teams
- Take on additional assignments as required by the portfolio manager
- Assist in the change management strategy that includes writing change management documents, creating training documents and videos, training end
users, and supporting the team with change management activities
- Identify high-level risks as part of the project planning process
- Follow client structured project management process including Project Charter, budget, and status deliverables.

Valuable Skillsets Required For This Role
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong technical skills or IT background
- Strong team management skills that motivate and encourage collaboration in the project team
- Ability to manage multiple clinical and vendor stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project planning ability
- Previous experience in managing enterprise wide projects
- Previous experience in managing complex technical and clinical integration projects
Constraints and Special Considerations:
- Access to a car to participate in onsite activities when required.
- While client may provide VPN access so that consultants may work remotely, it is expected that they reside locally (i.e., the BC Lower Mainland) for attendance in person when required.
- No additional expenses (e.g., mileage and parking) will be reimbursed for this contract.
Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:
- Preference towards those PMs with a balance between leadership skills (project leadership, teammember management, and change management), and technical skills.
- Experience working in large health care organizations
- Experience working at Fraser Health
- Experience working on health care initiatives/projects
- Possess exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills
- Must be comfortable presenting to the executive level
- Possess a project management professional (PMP) designation or equivalent
- Experience of 10+ years
- Experience working with multiple stakeholder (business, clinical, technical) groups
