The Role:

As the H&B Market Delivery and Operations Leader (MDOL) you will work closely with both the local Market Leader (ML) and the Region Operations Leader (ROL), to execute the Talent, Client Service and Operational vision and strategy at the local market level.

You will support the growth of the local market, executing on BAU (Business as Usual) priorities to drive colleague & client service success. This role will be part of the Region Operations and Talent Leadership team.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Execute the Talent, Client Services and Operations strategy for Health & Benefits in the market working with the Market Leader and multiple stakeholder groups

  • Work collaboratively with other Market Delivery & Operations Leaders to implement and manage talent and operational priorities

  • Manage overall operational effectiveness of the market

  • Ensure effective governance, controls, and compliance mechanisms are established to support corporate strategy and goals

  • Lead efforts to integrate our H&B teams through cross-staffing (as appropriate), knowledge sharing, and colleague teambuilding/engagement activities

  • Build colleague engagement in the market – including creative approaches to adapt to the WTW Ways of Working

  • Manage the day-to-day resourcing for clients, demand planning and execution of the organization’s business operations. Monitor & manage client teamwork loads to effectively deploy local resources to meet client needs

  • Work with ML to develop and execute on strategic staffing plans to support all market segments

  • Support new business sales and client expansion by effectively deploying appropriate local/regional/national resources

  • Oversee all people processes (recruiting, deployment, People Manager assignments and oversight, performance management, and development)

  • Actively contribute to the managing, motivating and developing the skills, competencies and knowledge of team members in line with WTW policies and procedures, including overseeing and managing objective setting, development plans, and performance reviews and fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment

  • Monitor monthly market operational and financial performance including P&L financial reports, Accounts Receivables, unbilled WIP, commission sweeps, write-offs, expense budgets, etc.). Work with ML on forecasting and quarterly business reviews

  • Support the implementation of global technology tools within the market

  • Support and maximize the use of the global support teams

  • Drive adoption of appropriate H&B Excellence processes. Ensure the market is adhering to our principles of Excellence

  • Participate in Excellence Review process

  • Serveas Data Privacy Champion for the market

  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement of processes and efficiency gains

  • Participate in other projects as directed by the ML or Region Operations Leader

The Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ experience and success in operational and talent management roles, ideally in a consulting or brokerage environment

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong business and financial acumen, strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills

  • Diligence in identifying, following up and resolving issues

  • Experience supervising and leading teams

  • Operational or complex project management experience managing multiple projects as part of virtual teams, producing quality deliverables within demanding deadlines and budget

  • Comfortable with change and uncertainty and able to work and lead through ambiguity. Experience with change management is advantageous

  • Ability to build and work in collaborative teams at all levels, across multiple practice and functional areas

  • Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues and propose solutions

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrable ability to define processes and related support systems

  • Experience working with risk management and quality management frameworks and dealing with compliance issues an advantage

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in benefits and contributing to the development of new tools and approaches
