Job Summary:

Ziing Final Mile Inc. is looking for a self-motivated and passionate Logistics Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will administer Ziing’s Route Optimization Software (ROS) and Transportation Management System (TMS).

Primary Responsibilities

• Receive data files and upload to the Route Optimization Software.

• Collaborate with the Ziing Operations team to optimize the most efficient routes while considering customer shipping rules.

• Perform co-load optimizations that build efficient delivery routes for multiple customers on a single route.

• Extract Route plans for: summary, upload to TMS, reporting to Operations, perform further review and improvements.

• Work with Business Development to build efficient delivery network models for Ziing pricing proposals.

• Integrate and troubleshoot APIs.

• Develop ongoing knowledge and familiarity with Ziing TMS platform including customer records, contracts, agent records, workflows, route configurations, rate tables and structures, reporting, invoicing, mobile devices, order & route stop troubleshooting, scheduling procedures, general troubleshooting, operational support and vendor service ticketing.

• Document, communicate and present to stakeholders

• Other Duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 7:30am – 4:30pm

Skills & Technical Requirements

Data Engineering |Machine Learning | Supervised Learning | Predictive Analysis | Prescribed Analysis

• Multi-tasking – interact and support multiple departments

• Critical thinking – leverage data and process information to streamline the final mile delivery network

• Technical expertise – data management, data formatting, data mining and segmentation techniques

• Experience with reporting software (Tableau), databases (SQL, AWS), and programming (Python)

• Statistics knowledge and experience – analyzing datasets (Excel, R, etc.)

• Analytical skills – ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Communication skills and experience to maintain effective and timely correspondence with internal team members as well as external customers, Vendors and Transportation service partners

• Understanding data definitions: what types of data Ziing works with and apply business principles to optimize this data

• Understanding of how different local and cloud systems are integrated together and how data is transferred

• Analyze current business environment and processes to identify automation opportunities

• Sound foundation in the concept of data; ability to use various tools and learn quickly

• Possess a “start-up” mindset, ability to adapt to fluid responsibilities and willingness to learn new things

• Experience with process and project management is an asset

Education:

• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or a BComm in Business Analytics

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics a strong asset but not a requirement

Additional skills/knowledge:

Experience with process and project management is an asset
