Zippin has developed the next generation of checkout-free technology enabling retailers to quickly deploy frictionless shopping in their stores. Zippin’s technology is being used by retailers on four continents to power checkout-free experiences in a wide variety of venues such as stadiums, offices, airports and train stations, convenience stores, hotels, convention centers and residential buildings.
In August of 2021, we closed a $30 million Series B funding round with participation from new and existing investors including OurCrowd, Maven Ventures, Evolv Ventures and SAP. This new round brings Zippin’s total funding to more than $45 million. This round comes on the heels of significant progress we’ve made in recent months, including signing numerous new accounts, launching multiple new public checkout-free stores, and further solidifying their leading technology within the future of retail.
We are seeking a Director of Product Marketing with deep experience in B2B2C to lead product marketing efforts for our checkout-free technology products and services. This individual will work closely with the Product and Sales teams, and our marketing leader, to represent the voice of our key stakeholders, develop sales-enablement content, assist with product pricing, refine our key value proposition and understand competitive positioning. The ideal candidate is data-driven and creative, a strong writer and experienced producing content in multiple formats including written, video, podcasts, webinars, etc.
Responsibilities
Develop positioning, pricing, competitive differentiation and sales-enablement materials
Educate customers and partners on product features and their benefits
Conduct market analysis to better position our products in the competitive landscape
Be an evangelist for the products and the company
Participate and speak at conferences and workshops on behalf of the company
Assist sales team on calls when appropriate
Work with designers, interns, content-writers as needed to generate high quality, targeted content
Requirements
8+ years of experience in product marketing in a related industry – retail tech is highly preferred
Proven experience working at B2B2C companies – in particular, understanding shopper behavior in brick and mortar stores is ideal
Experience working in category creation and/or in a startup environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills – will be a spokesperson for the company
Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative technology product categories
Proven track record of growing revenue by delivering high-quality leads and by expanding existing accounts
Data-driven and analytical; ability to track success metrics for individual campaigns
Creative thinker
Some travel may be required
