Zodiac Hurricane Technologies Looking for Accountant at Delta, BC Full Time

Job Summary

Our Delta, BC location of Zodiac Hurricane Technologies has an immediate opening for an Accountant in our Finance Department. This position is permanent, full-time working Monday through Friday.

The Accountant provides support to the Controller in the day to day accounting tasks and reporting requirements. Experience with creating process documentation and accounting-related policy and procedures manuals is an asset.

Candidates must have supervisory experience and a CPA designation is considered an asset. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in manufacturing or production.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in completing daily and other tasks and project work with compliance and deadlines in mind
• Creating, updating and maintaining various reports including reconciliations, analysis and regulatory filings
• Support and supervise clerical staff
• Prepare and update cash management reports including cash projections
• Assist with preparing and coordinating supporting documentation for year end and audits
• Provide support in the budget process, maintain and update various budget components, assist with quarterly financial forecasts
• Assist with tracking project milestones as well as accounts receivable and payable, collections and payments when needed
• Assist with inventory analysis and reconciliation
• Conduct quality assurance checks and audit information, reports and filings for errors. Provide gap analysis.
• Troubleshoot systems and processes. Make recommendations for improvements to attain efficiencies
• Create and maintain documentation and policies as assigned
• Any other tasks or projects as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• CPA designation or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ work experience
• Production or manufacturing experience is an asset, but not required. Knowledge in production, manufacturing and/or warehouse experience is an asset
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English with exceptional customer relations skills
• Intermediate computer skills that include use of Excel experience with ERP systems is preferred
• Ability to multi-task, be well-organized and detail-oriented, coordinate and collaborate with a team and different stakeholders while operating in a fast-paced and demanding environment managing multiple tasks and projects
• Take initiative to troubleshoot, problem solve and make decisions. Ability to solve problems and set priorities while working effectively and independently in a high-performance team culture
• Possess good time management skills, understands how to prioritize, and works well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Exceptional customer service skills communicating with a professional and respectful manner with both internal and external customers
• Desire and ability to learn new things
