Your responsibilities and tasks:
The Regional Sales Engineer will focus on sales within the Beverage Industry. This role serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services. The Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) will be responsible for selling GEA’s product portfolio into the Beverage Industry within Canada. The market includes brewery, fruit juice, wine, cider, citrus, coffee, tea and plant based beverages. The GEA technology specifically focuses on Separation Equipment by applying Centrifuges.
Duties & Responsibilities
Establishes new accounts by reviewing market analyses and determining customer needs and potential sales.
Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing a personal rapport with potential and existing customers. Prepares and presents technical and sales presentations at industry seminars and to customers.
Assists with preparing cost estimates by reviewing project plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel.
Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
Coordinates sales activities with other GEA groups or departments with related product lines and applications. Assists with writing proposals, preparing and negotiating final contract including pricing terms and conditions. Ensures clear communication and hand-off to project management team; post order.
Participates in tradeshows and other marketing activities to increase sales volume.
Your profile and qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical Preferred) and/or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 3 years of Industry Sales Experience
Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data and complicated engineering systems
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
Experience with processing of fluids in Beverage Industry or similar technologies a big plus
