Role Summary
This role provides a wide variety of HR Support for Cosma International Group Office (CIGO) and is located in Brampton, Ontario. The focus will be on establishing HR support to Group and Subgroup office employees as well as supporting mobility and immigration requests globally.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general HR support to CIGO employees, by responding to day-to-day inquiries, providing guidance and solving problems in a timely and professional manner.
Support the recruitment process for CIGO, including preparation of job requisitions, review of resumes, administration of interviews, testing, candidate follow up, liaising with hiring manager, closing out job requisitions, etc.
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, transfer and offboarding of CIGO employee.
Liaise with Magna International Payroll department for payroll related matters on a bi-weekly basis.
Administer benefits programs for CIGO, including service award program, Sunlife benefits enrollment and maintenance, disability claim management, retirement program.
Maintain the vacation database for tracking purposes in SharePoint.
Update and maintain HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity for CIGO employees.
Support HR Manager with administration of the continuous performance management and goal setting program, succession planning and development plans for CIGO employees.
Assemble, update and maintain confidential employee personnel records and files.
Support all immigration related inquiries for CIGO employees and coordinate with the Magna International Immigration team for renewals and new work authorization requests.
Administer the global mobility program (including tax initiations, relocation, etc.).
Support Health and Safety initiatives for CIGO, including coordination of wellness activities.
Assist in coordination and delivery of compliance and training programs for CIGO employees.
Organize and communicate employee relation activities such as CIGO events; CIGO surveys, and other special projects as needed.
Provide general administrative support as needed (mail, couriers, office supplies, car rentals, travel reservation, etc.).
Other duties that may be assigned.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Education/Experience
Completion of a university or college degree
5 years of experience in HR roles
Knowledge of HR practices and principles and familiar with relevant employment legislation
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
Knowledge of Workday an asset
Strong analytical skills
Focused on continuous improvement initiatives
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail
Experienced in working confidential/sensitive information
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Work Environment
This is a fast-paced office & manufacturing environment.
Overtime may be required from time to time
Physical Demands
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, may require local travel.
